Etica para el Sendero

Are you expecting to hear the 10 commandments for meditators?  Forget it.  Thru
higher consciousness you transcend morality.  But that means going above it, not
below.  If you find you are feeling so free you are slipping below, you had better make
corrections soon!  Noon of us are so perfectly tuned to the Force of Evolution that we
can act completely spontaneously with  no attention to self-discipline -- yet.  following
the path seems to get more perilous the further one goes.  How many masters have
slipped and fallen, taken down by their own fame and ego!

DHARMA -- "action in accord with evolution".  A mighty Force of Evolution is working
behind the scenes, driving everyone towards greater growth on all levels.  So all we
need to do is get totally in synch with it.  Until then we have Ethics and Morality to help
    us along.

UNIVERSAL DHARMA  is putting our life in tune with the Force of Evolution, and that's
one of the reasons to meditate.  Then things go better.  PERSONAL DHARMA is
following our individual destiny.  (Vedic Astrology illustrates our individual "blueprint of
    destiny".)

Below are number of ideas on the special kind of ETHICS for those on the Path.

"4 Cuerdas de Seguridad" para no desliar fuera del sendero elevado:
HUMILDAD. TOLERANCIA. NO EXIJIR SER RESPETADO. SIEMPRE DAR  RESPETO.

We know there are impending challenges out there.  But to allow your now powerful mind to become a
creative force in the world, stop dwelling on what you don't want manifested.   Stop creating anxiety.

    "Enlightened Self-interest".
The self-interest of the enlightened, who are the Self in all.  The far-reaching influence of their actions
benefit themselves and others simjultaneously.  Similar to the HONEY BEE, whose dharma is to go for
the flowers -- he feeds the hive and then fertilizes the whole garden as a side-effect.

    "Help out and pray."
Listen to what people need.  Serve.  Respond.  Listen to the compassion they are calling out for. Pray
for others -- to be blessed, but not to convert them to your religion!

    "Judge Not"
"Judge no one until you have walked a mile in his mocassins." an old Indian saying.

    "Three Mice Approached a Hermit"

"Three mice approached a hermit, encouraged by his motionlessness.
He addressed each one in turn:
"You live in the flour. It provides enough food for all your tribe,
yet you did not become more generous.
"You have chosen to live amidst many books, and have gnawed through great numbers of them,
yet you did not grow wiser.
"You have lived amidst sacred objects,
yet did not become more spiritual.
"Verily, mice, you could be human.
Just like people, you debase the treasures that are given to you."

Three lions then came to the hermit. He addressed each one in turn:
"You have just now killed a traveler who was hastening to his family.
"You have robbed a blind woman of her only sheep.
"You have destroyed the steed of an important messenger.
    "Lions, you could be human.
Brandish your terrifying manes and wage war,
but do not be surprised if you find people to be even more cruel than yourselves."

Three doves came flying to the hermit. He addressed each one in turn:
"You have consumed grain not your own and have considered it yours.
"You have consumed a healing plant, yet are revered as a sacred bird.
"You have wrongfully nested in a temple and,
taking advantage of the superstition of others,
have enticed them to feel obliged to feed you.
"Verily, doves, you could be humans.
Making use of the superstition and bigotry of others will plentifully feed you."

#408 El Morya in AGNI YOGA, given thru Helena Roerich

    187. Agni Yoga must be introduced into life, but its bearers must not differ externally from others in life. The
Agni Yogi lives unnoticed. He needs no human distinctions.

    231. It is not persecution that one should fear, but popularity. This must be repeated again and again.

    191. It is too early to concern oneself with the downfall of the planet when one has not yet recognized one's
own downfall.  One should first cure one's own wounds, then walk with those who labor.

He who strives unceasingly for the higher knowledge will be unwaveringly vigilant.

    226. The manifestation of corruption in the Subtle World impedes humanity from proceeding steadily toward
perfection.  But the Subtle World is corrupted by the earthly world; thus, the healing must begin from the
    earthly world.

    303. Man should be told, "Do not weaken yourself; discontent, doubt, self-pity, all consume the psychic
    energy."

    179. Even when facing the greatest battle, we must continue to follow our usual daily plan [meditative
disciplines]. It would not be correct for a battle to disrupt the current of life.  Battle is our destiny, and one
must simply include it in the daily plan
